Bad Breath
A common problem with many different causes. Usually caused by smelly gases released by bacteria that coat your teeth and gums. Other causes are foods such as garlic and onions, stomach problems and smoking. Bits of food caught between your teeth will rot and can cause an unpleasant smell. Correct and regular brushing and cleaning in between teeth is very important to keep breath fresh.
The bacteria on teeth and gums also causes gum disease and tooth decay. Regular check ups will allow your dentist to check for problems and your hygienist can clean hard to reach areas and give you advice on cleaning and where you are missing. Bad taste and breath can be a sign of gum disease and the earlier it is caught, the easier it is to treat.
